Perfectly orientated house on acreage. We suggested moving the house position well up a slope to achieve better views and breezes. The building is essentially one room wide to achieve excellent north orientation and still see the views to south. The kitchen and deck are on a twisted axis crossing the linear form as relief and interest. The ensuite has views over a river valley, with western sun controlled via energy efficient glazing. It was laid out to easily accommodate an extension to east or a build-in, the latter has occurred.
